USCDA  A Team Qualifications

 

To become a candidate for the USCDA -  A Team you must have Six points or more. You must be in the USCDA leadership program and in good standing. This is based on a Six (6) point must system. Verifiable fields of expertise must add up to six points or more to qualify. When two members are of the same rank the A Team member rank prevails. Number of points needed to become an A Team candidate can change without notice.

Hand to hand combat - W/ current Certification = one (1) point.

 

Emergency Medical Technician W/ current Certification = Two (2) Points. Certification within last five years one (1) point.

 

U.S. Military Veteran = two (2) points Combat Veteran Three (3) points

 

Licensed  HAM Radio Operators =Two (2) points

 

Current City, County, State, Federal fire fighters or Wildland fire fighters = Two (2) points. Within past five years One (1) point.

 

Current City, County, State or Federal Law enforcement officer = Two (2) points. Within past five years = (1) point. Current SWAT member three (3) points. Within past five years Two (2) points.  

 

Wilderness Survival - W/ current Certification = Two (2) points. Instructor = (3) points.

 

Sky diving - W/ current Certification = Two (2) points. Instructor = Three (3) points

 

Scuba and free diving - W/ current Certification = Two (2) Points. Instructor Three (3) points.

 

Weapons expertise qualified with A/R 15, 45 cal or 9 mm Simi auto hand gun, riot pump shotgun 12 gauge 7 round tube. = Two (2) Points. Instructor = Three (3) points.

 

Operating Engineers = Two [2) points. With own equipment Three (3) points

 

Licensed pilot fixed wing or chopper = Two (2) points. Own aircraft = Three (3) points

 

Member USCDA leadership program must have reached the rank of Staff SGT, or greater = Two (2) points. Officer = Three (3) points

 

Demolition expert including under water - W/ current Certification = Two (2) Points.

 

Search and Rescue - W/current  SAR certification = Two (2) points

 

Search and rescue dog handler – W/Dog = Two (2) points.

 

Search and rescue person with horse =Two (2) points

 

Search and rescue person with Four wheel drive 4X4 =Two (2) points

 

Jungle, desert and mountain warfare - W/ current Certifications = Two (2) points. Instructor Three (3) points.

 

Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management or related field. = Three (3) points.

 

Registered Nurse = Three (3) points.

 

Masters degree in Emergency Management or related field = Four (4) points

 

U.S. currently Licensed M.D. = Four points

 

U.S. Navy Seals and other U.S. Special Forces training current or within five years = five (5) points. Within last ten years’ three (3) points.

 

 

Prospects in order to be considered as a candidate for the USCDA A Team forward all certifications and qualifications to HQ’s or Fax. Prospects can also send Bio/resume.
