Woodrow Wilson Bean II Passed Away Jan 31, 2008

Woodrow Wilson Bean II, a lawyer, district court judge and former member of the Thomason Hospital Board of Managers, died Jan. 31 after suffering from cancer.

In his career, Bean served as a federal magistrate and as judge of the 243rd Texas District Court.

Graveside funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ft. Hancock Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bean, three children and several grandchildren

Friday's death of El Paso County Sheriff Leo Samaniego was felt from El Paso to Austin and to Washington, D.C., as everyone tried to find the perfect way to honor a man who gave 51 years of his life to others and raised the integrity of law enforcement and public service.
