Laguna Art Museum Celebrates The Holidays and Beethoven’s Birthday with

LAGUNA BEACH, CA— Wednesday, December 16, 2009 (7:00 p.m.), Laguna Art Museum will host Sonatasia’s upcoming event A Holiday Evening With Maestro Beethoven featuring local musicians, actors and dancers.

 

December 16 is Beethoven’s birthday, and attendees will be celebrating with Mr. Beethoven himself, played by Laguna Beach actor Jeffery Briar. In addition, patrons will be delighted as Sonatasia performs the music of Beethoven as well as holiday classics. This special event will also provide the opportunity to privately view Laguna Art Museum’s current exhibitions Collecting California: Selections from Laguna Art Museum and Jeremy Fish: Weathering the Storm.

 

Directed by Laguna Beach architect David Parker, Sonatasia is a spectacular arts experience which combines music, dance, and theater in a unique architectural setting such as a private home, art gallery, or museum. Performers make use of the overall space, bringing the audience and players close together for a thrilling and intimate experience. Sonatasia is based in Laguna Beach.

 

The cover charge for A Holiday Evening With Maestro Beethoven is $50.00 per person with light refreshments and admission to the Museum included. Sonatasia is offering 50% off for students ($25.00 per person), and 20% of all ticket sales will benefit Laguna Art Museum, a non-profit organization. Checks made out to Sonatasia for $50/person can be mailed to:

Museum Information

Laguna Art Museum is located at 307 Cliff Drive in Laguna Beach. Admission is $12 for adults and $10 for seniors, students, and active military. Children under 12 are admitted free. The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's days.

 

Hours:

Open seven days a week, 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

The first Thursday of every month, 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
