Laguna Beach is a city in Orange County, in the Los Angeles-Long Beach metroplex area.

The community name derives from Spanish for "lake."
 

The latitude of Laguna Beach is 33.542N. The longitude is -117.782W.

It is in the Pacific Standard time zone. Elevation is 20 feet.

Laguna Beach developed as a haven for artists after the arrival of Norman St. Claire in 1903.
This is the birthplace of the Hobie surfboard. Hobie Alter began making wood surfboards in the family garage in 1950.
