Laguna Beach resident fight turns into murder investigation

Police responded to a disturbance call at 1800 block of Rim Rock Canyon Drive Aug. 30 and found Alfonso Jason Gallegos, 35, of Anaheim, severely beaten inside a bathroom. Gallegos who was discovered severely beaten inside  that Laguna Beach home died Wednesday afternoon without regaining consciousness, police reported.

Police know who the  four suspects are in the beating, but have not arrested them nor, identified them publicly they now may face new homicide charges. 

Details are sketchy and the Police are keeping details to themselves. They do say arrests are eminent.

Sgt. Jason Kravetz said someone at the residence had called 911 to report a fight, Officers arrived and met with three subjects outside the house, Kravetz said.

"They told us that the fight's instigators had left in a vehicle but there was probably another man inside they had been unable to locate."

Shortly after entering the home police found Alfonso Jason Gallegos, severely beaten. Paramedics were summoned and treated Gallegos at the scene before transporting him to Mission Trauma Center in critical condition with "serious head and facial injuries."
