Terrorist Cell and Terrorist Recruiter in Orange County

 Michael Webster: Investigative Reporter

wibcom@aol.com

John Loftus said on the live national radio talk show coast to coast with host George Noory,  he stated, " I know for sure that a Terrorist cell is operating in Orange County Mosques and is recruiting young Moslems." Its also believed both American born and non- American born youth are receiving terrorist training.  click to see larger imageMr. Loftus claims that the cell is operating openly and freely with no apparent investigation by law enforcement. This is potentially a very dangerous situation that needs attention by Federal, State and Local law enforcement. Its believed to be a large cell operating with a number of locally recruited and trained terrorist who could strike anywhere at anytime if unabated. John Loftus has more inside information on the terrorists abroad and at home, and asks, "When are we going to wake up?"

In June, he warned of the London bombings, and now has more on what we can expect in our country and right here in Orange County

John Loftus is President of the IntelligenceSummit.org, and can be heard weeknights on ABC's John Batchelor program. John said, I hate to say this, but I think the FBI has been asleep at the switch. A lot of people, including my private investigator Bill Warner, who I think is the best PI in America, have said there's been a real problem with the FBI leadership in Washington. People can't get search warrants in time. If it happens outside the FBI, it doesn't get pursued. If it's not invented here, it's not touched, it's put on the back burner. Unfortunately, we're in a position where we can't allow that kind of luxury any more. Because the same organizations in the United States are directly linked to the ones in London that just pulled off the subway bombings.

Al-Muhajiroun

According to John Al-Muhajiroun  are here in America, and the successor organizations.  These groups have been desecrating the American flag, and have demanded an Islamic nation in the United States.

Hizb al-Tahrir And al-Tahrir

Al-Muhajiroun has offices in both New York and London. They were the parent organization, the Finsbury Mosque, of the subway bombings. Their leadership in New York was responsible for planning the subway bombings. What we're finding out is that they have a sister organization called Hizb al-Tahrir. And al-Tahrir is, if you will, the operational or training arm, Muhajiroun is the recruiting arm. Now the Russian Secret Service says that Hizb al-Tahrir is the secret radical arm of the Muslim brotherhood. This is the granddaddy of all the terrorist organizations. It goes back to the old Arab Nazi movement of the 1940s. And they worked for the British Secret Service. Then our CIA dumped them in Saudi Arabia, where they were running schools for young kids like Usama Bin Laden. But these folks have come home to roost. We have found out definitely, Bill Warner has found, that the new elected leader of the terrorist group Hizb al-Tahrir lives in Orange County, California. And that he has direct ties with the same groups in London. In fact, the group, the Islamic Thinkers Society in New York--that used to be the address, the post office box, of Iyad Kilal, also called Abu Tarik. And he lives at 500 Gerry Street, in La Habra, Orange County California--

  Jihad

Mr. LOFTUS said  we've found out that this same guy, Iyad Hilal, has been the author of a book on self-study on how to become an Islamic extremist, if you will. And that one of his early neighbors at a previous address was a young kid named Adam Pearlman, who's now known as Azzam the American, who became an Al-Qaeda member and promised that America will see a new wave of terror, and that the streets will run with blood. Now he was recruited into Muslim society at the mosques where this same guy, Iyad Hilal, was one of the instructors. So the leader of the most radical terrorist arm of the same groups that did the London subway bombing, has a whole cell going in Orange County, California, and has recruited terrorists there. When are we going to wake up?

Connecting The Dots

So it can now be presumed that Al-Muhajiroun and Hizb al-Tahrir.has cells in at least New York, England, Germany and Orange County California. Al-Muhajiroun and Hizb al-Tahrir were the parent organization, of the Finsbury Mosque, they were the London subway bombers. Their leadership in New York was responsible for planning the subway bombings.  And that there sister organizations are Hizb al-Tahrir and al-Tahrir if you will, is the operational or training arm, and Al-Muhajiroun is the recruiting arm. Add that the Russian Secret Service says that Hizb al-Tahrir is the secret radical arm of the Muslim brotherhood... and the new elected leader of the terrorist group Hizb al-Tahrir in America is allegedly Iyad Kilal, and that he lives in La Habra in Orange County, California. And that he has direct ties with the same groups in London and the Islamic Thinkers Society in New York. Iyad Kilal, is also called Abu Tarik.

 MOSQUES

Orange County's Mosques that Iyad Kilal, also called Abu Tarik may have instructed or attended are: Islamic Educational Center of Orange County Costa Mesa

Darul-Uloom, Santa Ana

, and OCI Foundation, Mission Viejo.

Attempted contact of the above Orange County Mosques by phone was made by the Journal and were answered by machines. By publishing time no return calls had been received by the Journal.

LEADERS CHARGED WITH PROTECTING US AGAINST TERRORIST ATTACKS

     FBI Director Mueller

Robert S. MuellerAn attempt was made to contact the Local FBI by phone at their offices in Santa Ana California. The Journal was directed by a answering machine to call the L.A. FBI office. Which we did. A male voice answered. The Journal reporter  Identified himself and asked to talk with an FBI agent. The reporter had to ask several times if he was speaking to an FBI agent. After several minutes he was finally transferred to who claimed to be the FBI Duty Agent. The FBI Duty Agent said, he did not know of this terrorist cell nor had he heard of Iyad Kilal, also called Abu Tarik. The Journal then offered the information and content of this story. The Duty agent took the information reluctantly and without further inquiry.

According to Willie Hulon, Assistant Director of Counterterrorism Division's web page stated "the FBI is part of a vast national and international campaign dedicated to defeating terrorism. Working hand-in-hand with partners in law enforcement, intelligence, the military, and diplomatic circles, our job is to neutralize terrorist cells and operatives here in the U.S. and to help dismantle terrorist networks worldwide. " However if the press or the public can't reach them to report terror, and if they show little or no interest. How will they be able to accomplish their mission and protect American citizens. I can't help but wonder had this been an terrorist related life threatening emergency how could it had worked any better?

Sheriff's Terrorism Commentary

Orange County Sheriff Michael S. Carona

The La Habra Police Chief Dennis Kis said, his dept through one of his watch commanders received a  tip in the form of a phone call from a resident of Marina del Rey about a week ago. The Gerry street address was then checked out by his officers and the subject in question was not living there. And the chief was not sure if the subject had lived there at any time in the past. "there is a couple living there now and they checked out OK. However we did turn the matter over to the joint FBI task force on terrorism." He also said, he believed the couple was recently on the popular John and Ken radio talk show on a LA radio station KFI. He believes the task force will keep him informed or if they need his help they will contact his dept.

Fund raisers notwithstanding, plans to raise taxes and parking meter increases aside, the definitive answer to what could/should alleviate the losses of Bluebird Canyon landslide disaster victims has just surfaced. In a simple statement issued this week. Independent real estate executive, Michael Vorobiev, has pledged to donate 50% of all his listing sales commissions henceforth to assist home owners in recovering from this year's June 1st tragedy.

Vorobiev, a Laguna Beach resident and President/CEO of Sagamore Hill Realty, envisions the enormity of what might prevail if even a few brokerage firms will similarly contribute to this worthy cause. Noting that the basic clearance of the demolition alone will exceed $10 million, Vorobiev is avid in stressing that "the real Estate industry which has financially benefited the most in our city, should certainly re-invest in the rebuilding of the very product that has enabled them to work & live here in this beautiful beach community"

Considering the fact that there are in excess of 90 real estate firms in our town, we came up with some overwhelming ball park figures. To whit, with Laguna Beach home prices averaging an astounding $2 million, give or take a few thousand, the average commission to a listing broker is 2 1/2 %.or approximately $50,000. If only one sale from each of the 90 local firms contributed one half, or $25,000, we would have an immediate $2,500,000. Double that amount for two sales from each of the 90 venues and we have $4,500,000. And that is if each broker contributed one half of only one sale.

Take it from there and note the resulting figures are phenomenal, enabling us to reach our ultimate goal much more quickly than heretofore imaginable. Over and above this, think how much the city will save in converting parking meters to increase revenue which, in turn, will diminish potential income from adamant tourists as happened a few years back. Raising taxes, similarly, would be unfair to those of us who already pay dearly, yearly. Local fund raisers, however, will hopefully continue to further the cause and all personal contributions will continue to be gratefully welcomed.

All monies will go directly to Laguna Beach Relief Center Charitable Assistant Fund (phone 497-7121) and are totally tax deductible. Further information: Michael H. Vorobiev 715-3935, email sagamorehr@yahoo.com or Glori Fickling 494-4710, email ghoneywest@aol.com.

THE LAW IS THE LAW
BY Michael Webster

So if the US government determines that it is against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then, so be it.
And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.
And since they already have prohibited any prayer in the schools, on which they deem their authority, then so be it.
I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.
I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.

I would like to think that those people have the American Publics' best interests at heart.
BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot Post His Commandments in Government buildings,
I don't believe the Government and it's employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.
I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays. After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.
I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter.
It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."
In fact....

I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be just another day....
What do you all think????
If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the minority opinions and begin, once again, to represent the 'majority' of ALL of
the American people.
SO BE IT...........
Please Dear Lord, Give us the help needed to keep you in our country!
'Amen' and 'Amen'
These are definitely things I never thought about but from now on, I will be sure to
question those, in government, who support these changes.
At the top, it says "I hope this makes its way around the USA several times over!!!!!"
Let's see that it does.

SO BE IT!!!

Why is This Young Girl DEAD ???

Andrea Jennifer Nelson

January 2003 a known drug dealer, Homayon Bakhtar, drove her cold dead body into the ER of Hoag hospital saying she passed out at a party.

Was it because Andrea had worked as an informant, for the Irvine police department, working with officer Mike Hallahan, to try and arrest her former boyfriend Sammy Johar ?

Was it because Andrea went with Tustin Police officer Joe Stickels, to I.D. " dirty cops" and
locations of GHB and drug labs in Huntington Beach.

Was it because of what Andrea told her Mother Linda, after a visit to Buena Park Police,
" She told me the police officer in Buena Park was yelling at her, calling her a liar and scared her to death."
Officer Stickles informed her Mother " that the reason the Buena Park officer treated Andrea that way was because he was up for a promotion and identifying corruption in his department would hinder his chances."

Officer Stickles said, "Andrea identified 9 of the 10 officers reporting directly to him."

Was it because detectives Yourex and Lewis of New Port told Andrea's boyfriend, that "Homayan Bakhtar, and Sammy Johar, both Syrian, were "connected", and that the FBI had been watching Bakhtar, because he was an International Drug Dealer. When Bakhtar brought the body of Andrea to the ER she was cold to the touch, according to the attendent who placed her in the ER and a lawyer was already there with Bakhtar.

Support Our Fire Fighters

Join the Red Flag Patrol

  Additional volunteers are needed

Wet Winter + Dry Summer = Dangerous Fire Season

The Laguna Coast Fire Safe Council established and coordinates a

Red Flag Patrol program to enhance the early warning capabilities of our local Fire Departments.

The program augments the official steps taken by professional fire fighters and has proven to be a useful tool for the Laguna Beach Fire Department and the Orange Co. Fire Authority.

Volunteers are called into action when a Red Flag Alert has been issued indicating that fire danger is extremely high.  A condition usually brought about by Santa Ana winds during the fall and early winter.

Frequency of patrols are determined by the whims of Mother Nature, last fire season no patrols were needed, the previous season patrols were activated 6 times between October and January.

These patrols not only assist with early detection and prevention, they also help to make the community aware of the danger and encourage extra valiance.

As a volunteer, when available, you and a partner will be ask to drive a 2 hour patrol to watch for smoke, suspicious behavior or activity that might cause a fire.

The patrol route takes you to the best vantage points along the wildland interface and out the Laguna Canyon Road.

We welcome non-drivers, as only one partner needs to be a licensed driver.  There are several parent/child teams participating in the program.  You may train with a designated partner or be assigned a partner at the time a patrol is needed.

All volunteers are required to attend a two-hour training session conducted by Battalion Chiefs of the Laguna Beach Fire Dept. and the Orange County Fire Authority.

After attending the training, volunteers are issued a ready bag that contains items needed for the patrol including identification and maps, plus red flags and magnetic signs for your car.

Laguna Beach Landslide: Cont'

Some evacuated residents are being allowed to go back home following  landslide that destroyed 17 expensive houses and damaged nearly 11 others.

About 1,000 people were evacuated from 350 other houses as a precaution. Many of them are now returning home and others may be allowed back under supervision to retrieve personal belongings, Orange County (search) officials said.

The cause of the disaster was under investigation. But Ed Harp of the U.S. Geological Survey (search) said it was almost certainly related to the winter storms that drenched Southern California. A geologist contracted by the city agreed the cause was most likely rainfall, but said more tests were needed.

People scrambled for their lives early Wednesday, awakened by the sounds of cracking walls and exploding pipes. Five people suffered minor injuries, officials said, and miraculously, no one was killed.

Haley Stevens was getting ready for school when the 14-year-old's morning routine was shattered by the sounds of trees and wood-frame houses being torn from their foundation.

The next thing she knew, her family was rushing out the door as a massive landslide bore down on the neighborhood of hillside homes perched along one of the most picturesque sections of Southern California's coastline.

When they made it outside their Bluebird Canyon (search) home, the ground was collapsing beneath them: "We started to feel the street move and we just started sprinting," she said.

Wednesday's landslide destroyed 17 multimillion-dollar homes as it sent structures crashing down a hill. Residents alarmed by the sound of walls and pipes coming apart ran for their lives — many still in their pajamas.

"We were very scared, my brother and I. We were freaking out," said Stevens, who suffered a minor injury from stepping on a cactus in her bare feet.

Karen Harvey, senior dispatcher with the Laguna Beach Police Department, said early Thursday that there were no new landslides reported overnight.

Throughout the day, Laguna Hills High School (search) doubled as a Red Cross evacuation center where residents filtered in and out of the school gym, hoping to learn when they might be allowed back into their homes to retrieve belongings and pets.

"It's just been overwhelming," said Vera Martinez, a 65-year-old retiree.

Earlier this year, scientists warned that destructive landslides would be possible and they point to Laguna Beach as a wake-up call for other coastal communities to be on the lookout for any slight earth movement.

"We're not out of the woods yet," geologist Randall Jibson said.

Laguna Beach has been dry since a trace of rainfall nearly a month ago, but before that, Southern California had its second-rainiest season on record. The region has gotten nearly 28 inches of rain since last July, more than double the annual average.

The daybreak landslide caught dozens of residents by surprise Wednesday in this Orange County community about 50 miles southeast of Los Angeles.

"You could hear the homes breaking. You could hear the cracking wood," said Jill Lockhart, who awakened to the noise of shattering glass and walls.

"It was like a nightmare," said Lockhart, 35. "We had to run for our lives."

She fled with her son 2-year-old son, Tyson, over her shoulder and his 4-year-old brother, Trey, stumbling along in his pajamas.

The family climbed into a neighbor's SUV, but their path was blocked by a utility pole, forcing them to flee on foot. They had to abandon the road when it began to collapse, finally scrambling down a hillside to safety. Lockhart's two-story home was destroyed.

At the top of the hill, the foundations of several homes were left exposed, their corners jutting out with nothing underneath to support them. One road ended abruptly, with the edge of the pavement hanging over a tangle of debris scattered downhill.

City manager Ken Frank expected about a third of the evacuees — those farthest from the slide — to be back in their homes in the next day or two. Others will be allowed to retrieve belongings under supervision Thursday.

Last January, a landslide crashed down into the coastal community of La Conchita (search), in Ventura County northwest of Los Angeles, killing 10 people.

Laguna Beach, offering vistas of the Pacific from coastal bluffs, has been hit before by flooding, mudslides and wildfire. In 1998, a rainstorm triggered slides that damaged 300 homes, 18 of them severely, and killed two people. A fire in 1993 swept down into the city and destroyed some 400 homes. Most were rebuilt within a half-dozen years. And in October 1978, a slide in the same canyon destroyed 14 homes.

The area has some of Southern California's most desirable real estate. The damaged homes generally sell for $2 million or more, residents said. Recently, the community was prominently featured on the MTV show "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" that debuted in September.

State Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi said most residents who lost their homes probably did not have insurance coverage for landslides — something that insurers began eliminating more than a decade ago.

Still, many residents said they hope to eventually return to the area.

LETTERS AND E-MAILS TO THE EDITOR:

To the editor,

What can one person do?

Most people I've spoken with in recent years feel they have no power, no
ability to affect the dreadful course of events unfolding around them,
especially world or national events. Cindy Sheehan shows what one person can
do.

Whether you agree with her position on Bush and Iraq or not, there can be no
doubting the magnitude of the effect that has followed her actions. By
standing along a dusty road in Texas with a sign she has done more to
successfully challenge the neo-con New World Order than the entire worldwide
anti-war movement and the entire Democratic Party combined. If more people
dared to individually stand up for what they believe in this way the police
state would wither on the vine.

During a war normal life is suspended. We are in a war, but it's not the
fake war on terror we see on Fox and CNN.

The real war is being made all over the Earth against average everyday
people like Cindy Sheehan. Right now most of the casualties are overseas but
the real focus is still right here in the US. Unless the American people can
be subjugated, intimidated, disinformed and made willing to give up their
rights those making this war will ultimately lose it.

The real war is a war against free speech, against the bill of rights,
against freedom, against conscience and against human decency. It's a war
against life, against nature and against the Earth itself. As Americans we
are uniquely both the perpetrators and the victims of this war  -
perpetrators because this is all being done in our names and victims because
it is our freedom that is the ultimate target.

Deny the corporate police state what it wants and you will deny it power. To
defeat such an enemy, we must use the weapons that are most effective, the
weapons they most fear.

What are these weapons? Certainly not bombs or bullets or suicide attacks.
They are the manufacturers, distributors and perpetrators of most of the
violence we see in the world today. Using the techniques of advertising,
propaganda and human psychology, they manipulate young Americans to go to
war as readily as they brainwash young Muslims to become suicide bombers.

What they fear most are not weapons of mass destruction but sincere words.
Cardboard signs. Acts of conscience. A refusal to go along with the
propaganda of fear. A determination to not let them get away with it.

It all comes down to one person at a time non-violently standing up for what
they believe in. Anyone can refuse to be intimidated into silence or passive
acceptance. Sometimes, defending your country means fighting against it.

Like the power within a single atom, we all have this power right now freely
at our disposal.

Freedom is the gift given to all Americans. Use it or lose it.

Dear Editor:

My Wife and I and  Millions of other Americans are wondering why people would build homes, Multi Million dollar homes on the sides of hills with the knowledge that at some point in time they would end up at the bottom of the canyon. It's said on the news that there is no insurance for these pitifully stupid people but they insist on building there. Myself as a tax payer don't want a dollar of my money going toward the restoration of these homes. If these folks have millions to build these home they should have enough to rebuild without a government handout. After all most people in the nation have better sense than to build on dirt hills. But then I keep forgetting, we are talking about California and the people of California, the land of Fruits and Nuts.

Dear Editor:

Our Harmonic Concordance Experience

Our local "Harmonic Concordance" ceremonial experience turned out awesome. We
had planned a small celebration at a local home wth a nice natural back yard
setting of maybe a dozen or so guests. Then at the last minute we listed our
celebration of hosting offer with the Harmonic Concordance web site. The
response was overwhelming. We had 103 requests for information and 47 showed. We
could jam in and accommodate 40 in the canyon home and back yard so we met the
others at Aliso beach in South Laguna. We had a moving time, starting with a
spectacular sunset (green flash did not show), followed by the Lunar Eclipse
(which we could not see do to cloud cover). Though payer, meditation, drumming,
rattles, flute sounds and camp fire, the evening was filled with unity joy,
peace and reconciliation.

The concordance harmonic agreement tones formed the basis for the
extraordinary sky that followed the eclipse. The cloud formations took the shape of a
huge Feather Fan others saw in it step rows of the Anasazi farming fields of the
American Southwest. Shortly thereafter the unobstructed view of the full moon
appeared a circle or halo, which we have all seen before. But then never
before seen, by all there. A spectacular 2nd circle formed which had all the colors
of the rainbow. We named it "The Harmonic Agreement Tones". It was one of
those times when humanity was achieving significant progress in the raising of
consciousness and spiritual growth.  From my viewpoint, I've experienced quite a
number of highly touted moments of great enlightenment. This to me was a
massive paradigm shift into a new enlightenment of Harmonic Concordance.
The energy that flowed forth was the light from which all knowledge and God
given talent comes from. Where dreams are visions while we sleep and visions
are dreams while wake, but they are always coming and Nov 8, 2003 they were
super charged.

Through this ceremonial experience we reached for the highest expression
possible for the development of human beings. And for what this can mean for the
world and peace.  As this experience raised our consciousness, we grow in
spiritual understanding and in our ability to express our world and the marching on
of mankind.

Dear Editor:
Everyone always refers to the Constitution of the United States as though they know it by heart. We have all heard the phrase "you are violating my constitutional rights". However, how many of us have actually read the document it in its entirety? Most likely, a very small percentage of us could be included in that group. It would be wonderful if it was required reading for every citizen of this great nation of ours. Maybe, then we would understand that the founding framers gave us a blueprint by which we could be a government that was by the people and for the people.

This document provides for us a model by which, we are to live as a free people. It is a constitution meant for all Americans, for all times. The Constitution instructs us to elect the President, every four years, elect the Congress and a Senate and to install a multi- tiered Judiciary system, The checks and balances instituted in this document was to perpetuate a democratic nation. Party politics came about to make for an adversarial climate. For the truth to come forth there must be a thesis, an antithesis and a synthesis of opposing ideals. It makes for good competition; after all, competition in the public sector as well as the private sector makes for a healthy America.

Now let us focus on the local governments and examine the obvious lack of competition that exists here in our California cities. The system called general law government has over 300 cities in the state operating under the format of council/manager administration. This system prides itself on being devoid of bipartisan politics and runs counter productive to the governments that exists at the National as well as State levels. Why is this the case? The answer can be found in Richard Stillman's book entitled the "The Rise of The City Manager". He argues that a city should operate as a corporation and who best to run the city than the City Manager. He is the technician, the CEO, the Council is the Board of Directors and we the people, are the shareholders. In a perfect world, this system could work for the benefit of all. However, this is not a perfect world and we the shareholders are getting a raw deal. A poll could easily verify voter dissatisfaction here in Laguna Beach. What we are forced to endure is a faēade of a democratic system, which in reality is a government controlled by the City Manager, who is appointed and not elected. There in lies the unaccountability. Sources tell me that the average salary for a City Manager in the state of California is $204,000 per year. Just use common sense, City Councils are not in control of local governments. How could they be, when they are paid a mere pittance compared to the City Managers. They are merely puppets for City Managers. Is that why the City Managers are the third most powerful lobbying group in the state of California? They perpetuate their existence and in fact, no city incorporated in the state of California since 1970, has been anything but City Manager controlled. We do not have democracy at the local level, but instead a technocratic bureaucracy.

In Laguna Beach the City Manager, Ken Frank has been in power for over 25 years and there are sentiments amongst many of the citizens that the situation is out of voters' control. It does not matter who is elected to the City Council, no one will dare contest Frank. The council is in fear of the man. Why is this so? They are afraid of his power and the monopoly he enjoys. However, there are some citizens in Laguna Beach that have the courage to stand up and expose the emperor for what he is, a dictatorial leader. Just take an anonymous survey of what city employees feel and the truth would hurt. As a person who has lived here over 15 years I talked to many about their opinions. Is that why the Fire Fighters had to go forth with their initiative? Would a democratic system purposely endanger the lives of its citizens? Would a caring government sell its artistic soul to the highest bidder? Would it have little regard for the needs of its senior citizens? The answer is no to all of these questions.  The spirit of freedom is in the air, here in Laguna Beach. When the people are educated about the Constitution and what it stands for, the closer we will get to having the representation of a government in Laguna Beach, that is for the people and by the people.

E-mails/Letters to the Editor,

Dear Editor: Friends of The Harmonic Concordance,

Our inaugural Newsletter is being sent to you because at some point you have expressed an interest in the Harmonic Concordance.

The Harmonic Concordance occurred on November 8/9, 2003 during a Total Lunar Eclipse.  That day millions of you joined in Harmonic Concordance ceremonies and celebrations around the world.  It was a conscious, collective call to the Universal Consciousness, within and without, for Unity, God-Conscious Awareness and a healing for Mother Earth. That moment and its collective impression continues to reverberate through time.

The HC Newsletter is intended to update you on matters relevant to the Harmonic Concordance.  This issue is devoted to the transits of May 15th, 2005 as described in the article below.

Please share this Newsletter with others whom you think would value its content.  We hope you enjoy our first issue and find it edifying.  We welcome your feedback.

In Gratitude and the ONE heart,
Johnny Mirehiel, ed.

To the editor,
The blatant exploitation of the tragic deaths of thousands of innocent
people by President Bush, Governor Pataki, former Mayor Giuliani and other politicians since 9/11 is sickening. Rather than being considered "heros" for doing nothing more than appearing at press conferences in which they deliberately misinformed the public, these men share a great deal of responsibility for the deaths. Their self-serving "performance" following 9/11 was one of executives facing a disaster that they had not adequately prepared for and in the case of Mayor Giuliani, had actually contributed to.
What's next, honoring the executives of Enron? No wonder America is becoming a laughingstock. We are a chronically misinformed nation led by criminals, dunces and fools.

Dear Editor:

We don't need "reorganization" of the FBI. We don't need "stronger laws". We don't need fake "homeland security". We need to impeach Bush and Cheney,
fire Muller, Ashcroft and all of the other thugs in the Bush administration and get some new officals who were actually "elected" and who have an interest in actually protecting the United States from attack rather than an interest in subjecting the United States to attack in furtherance of their criminal and Unconstitutional agenda.

Dear Editor:

The Bush administration's top cops have apologized for what they claim were mistakes about 9/11. The only problem is, these were not mistakes of omission but deliberate failures to act. FBI agents were ordered by the administration not to investigate bin Laden and the Saudis. The wire tap an FBI agent wanted on what turned out to be the 20th hijacker was deliberately blocked by a superior. Memos specifically about suspected terrorists taking flight lessons in US schools were consistently ignored as were specific high-level warnings about an imminent attack from a whole variety of foreign
governments. Now, besides their phony apology, they want to blame it all on low-level FBI agents and then use this lame excuse to justify turning the FBI into a souped-up domestic spy organization with sweeping new powers which virtually eliminate all Constitutional protections. The real problem was not that they couldn't detect a coming terrorist attack but that they didn't want to. The solution is to fully investigate 9/11 and hold the highest level Bush officials responsible for what it now seems inevitable will come out of such an investigation. That, not creating a Gestapo-like police state, will protect the American people.

Dear Editor:

Yes, there is something I'd like to see changed. Maybe you can help. The northbound freeway, south of El Toro Road has very poor signage. It says truck bypass coming up, right lane only, but there really is the El Toro exit first and no signs. I see people jockeying to get out of the exit lane because they thought it was the truck lane.

Also, I'm designing a holiday ornament for The Diana Princess of Wales Foundation. Proceeds will provide pallative care for AIDS patients in Africa. I won't be ready to share details for a few months, but the project certainly could use some publicity as we get closer to production time. I may be going to Africa to meet and teach the women who will make the actual items. pennydesigns@cox.net

Dear Editor:

I would like to know why there is not a  bike path in the canyon...or off  the canyon road, I mean. How can one find out about this? There are many cyclists and are often hurt ... traffic is grueling and I think lagunites should ride a bicycle more often into town , and in town. The only way to do this would be to pave a path (like I've seen in Aliso Viejo etc).

Anyway, its worth some effort.. I live in the canyon and would love to ride into town but ...I'm not crazy or stupid enough.

Dear Editor:

Our freedoms are being used to undermine our freedoms and  legal rights. Liberal politicians assure foreign terrorist our legal rights, prevent questioning people who may have information and discourage profiling terrorist at airports. Their districts are "safe seats" so they are easily re-elected and have seniority. When voters in other districts elect "moderates" these same liberals gain leadership positions.  They seek to undermine educational standards, obstruct administrative and judicial appointments and distort taxation,  immigration and foreign policy.  When you elect a moderate, you actually empower liberals and their extremist political agenda.

Dear Editor:

Rawson, Blum & Leon (“RBL”) and Buchanan Urban Investors  have purchased the Mall of Orange for $24.2 million. Anchored by Wal*Mart, Sears and JC Penney, The Mall of Orange is a regional mall located in Orange, California. The purchase includes 85 retail shops, and the center was 89% leased at the time of the acquisition.

The new owners plan a complete renovation of the 1971-vintage property to capitalize upon an affluent and densely populated trade area. Planned improvements include reconfiguring the mall to improve customer draw, developing 35,000 square feet of new out parcel buildings, and cosmetic upgrades to the interior and exterior of the mall.

Rawson, Blum & Leon is a San Francisco-based retail developer that was quick to recognize the merits of redeveloping the center, according to Jeffrey S. Leon, Director of Acquisitions. “The condition and location of the center makes for a highly attractive investment for us. The Mall of Orange is poised for repositioning.”

Buchanan Street Partners arranged the investment for Buchanan Urban Investors, as it met perfectly with the investment goals of BUI for infill redevelopment opportunities that promote job growth and housing. Tim Ballard, Chief Investment Officer for BUI and The Buchanan Funds: “We continue to seek investment opportunities with experienced sponsors such as Rawson, Blum & Leon, and look forward to participating in the successful redevelopment of this asset.”

The Insignia/ESG Capital Advisors team of David Doupé and Larry Krasner represented buyer and seller in the transaction.

Buchanan Street Partners is a West Coast-based real estate investment bank headquartered in Newport Beach with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco.  It provides investment management services for institutional and private investors as well as fee based advisory services to real estate developers and owners.

Dear Letters to the Editor:
I wanted to thank Glori for the well written piece for my gallery,
California Art Gallery. I really appreciate all her effort and yours
for putting it on-line. It is informative and helpful for those art
loves in Laguna or nationally as I know your site
is growing. Thanks again, and please come to the show on October 7,
2-5 so you can personally meet the fine artists I represent.

Dear Editor;

Thank you Michael Webster (Laguna Journal). I along with many others have been fighting the dangerous Park Avenue Dilemma for a number of years. I couldn’t help but notice the very next day after your very good and enlightening article appeared things started happening. The center line of Park was re-striped, new signs went up and the cops were all over giving out tickets and warnings. It is about time Laguna had a real investigative reporter and an online newspaper with courage and real conviction with a true interest in local issues. Again thanks Michael.

Tom Worth  and Family, Laguna Beach

Park Avenue:

As a former member of the city Parking, Traffic and Circulation committee,
I know that the intersection of Wendt and Park is a dangerous area for
pedestrians. If you look at a city map, it is not difficult to see that it
a quick shortcut from Thalia to Park Ave. is Wendt Terrace. Any parent
with kids at Thurston or the High School knows this. The city has made
several attempts to slow down the traffic on Wendt, including putting in a
speed bump and a stop sign. It is not a perfect solution, butI believe it
has helped.

Park Avenue is a more difficult situation. To put in a speed bump on the
downhill side of Park Ave. could actually cause an accident rather than
prevent one. Obviously, more police enforcement is needed at the stop sign.

Re: Laguna Journal/Glori Fickling
I've always lived a little further north in Beverly Hills since I
relocated to California from New York in '88. Being in the film
industry, my partner and I are working hard to bring one of Glori and
Skip's life works, "Honey West," to the big screen. But more important,
Glori has turned me on to the beauty of Laguna Beach. Additionally, she
also introduced me to your website, which is both fun and insightful,
especially for those of us who still have to travel to get there. I
enjoy reading Glori, and the other's, local stories about what's
happening down there. Seems a bit more interesting than what happens up
here. All the best to you and the staff.

Dear Editor:
As a resident of Laguna Beach for 12 years and as a female and multiracial citizen of this Earth.  I am disappointed and insulted that Laguna Beach does not see fit to observe a holiday honoring Martin Lurher King.

He preached that "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." Does this not apply to so many residents of Laguna who have felt discrimination in some form?

This is a town which annually hosts a Gay Pride Festival.  How about a little Rainbow Flag waving for King.

I hope that this will touch others and that they will pay their respects.

Dear Editor

I came across mention of Michael Lavery's efforts in Laguna Beach. So I just wanted to express my artspirit support. And while I live up in Sonoma County, I know some artists in Burbank and San Bernardino who I believe would be interested in what he are trying to accomplish. (My own background of sympatico is that for awhile in the latter 80s I had, with my soul mate, Cathy, a studio in the former YMCA building in Riverside, and we actually got evicted by the manager-art supply store owner for expressing an opinion about what the manager did, namely, autocratically remove a piece of art from an exhibit in the building.)
Anyway, Mr. Lavery's presence there is a very necessary and valuable counterweight to the pseudo-magical kingdom and to the great temple of consumerism in Costa Mesa.

Good wishes,
Ed Limbaugh
