LA HABRA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a woman in Orange County has
been shot and killed by law
enforcement officers after
she confronted them with a
weapon.
The District Attorney's
Office said Tuesday in a
written statement that La
Habra Police and Orange
County Sheriff's deputies
responded to a 911 call
Monday night with a report
of a possibly suicidal
woman.
The statement says that
minutes later the woman
confronted officers with a
weapon and she was shot.
The District Attorney's
Office is investigating the
incident.
Authorities would not say
whether police officers or
deputies fired the fatal
shots or how many bullets
were fired.
The woman's name and
details about her identity
have not been released.
